	Gabriele Sewtz lives in Brooklyn, New York and is a member of the Professional Photographers of America. Her career in black and white photography developed in New York after several years of color photography in her native Hamburg, Germany. Her commercial work is architecturally based. Her specialty is photographing exteriors and interiors of buildings for a variety of clients, including New York City's largest private real estate company and for various local retail establishments where her work is represented. Emphasizing the pattern and structure of her subjects, her current portfolio "In Love with the Line" reveals her passion for the interplay of form, light and atmosphere. Her style is defined by the unusual angles she selects for her subject matter and by the way she frames her images. Striking breaks in pattern and order add a new perspective to her compositions. Lighting serves as a medium to accentuate lines and shapes and to create repeating forms of highlights and shadows, giving them more compositional contrast and energy.
